Lots of Little Detail Work
I have been working on this piece for what seems like forever. And I'm pleased with the way it turned out. It's a 50th Anniversary gift for a couple in New Hampshire. Wow, married for fifty years, that's as long as I've been alive.
Any back to the piece, this is a Betty Caithness design. She has some of the most beautiful scenery patterns out there. Lots of little details that will keep you looking at her work for hours just to make sure you didn't miss anything. When you have time you really should check out her work.

You did a wonderful job on Betty's design. I have painted a few of hers over the years. She does beautful work.I paintd a jacket for a friend a few years ago and he wore it to an convention. she saw it and Told World Magazine took a picture of us all with the coat. It was cool to see it in the magazine... Keep up the good work. Do yo know of any other tole painting blogs???
Sorry Lynn I'm just now seeing your comment here.
I'm always on the lookout for painting blogs, I was following Patricia Rawlinton's blog. Found it very interesting. But I guess she got way to busy because it hasn't been touched since back in June. I know how hard it can be to keep up with a household, painting and a job. Hopefully I'll have more time for my blog after the holidays.
