One day I was in a craft store looking at some books and something caught my eye. I picked up one of Laurie Speltz's books to look through it, I saw a project that I liked. I bought the supplies that were listed for that project and the rest as they say is history. I was hooked, I've never taken a class everything I've learned has come from books. Books are written by such a wide variety of wonderful artist that cover everything you could possibly want to know. So if you have ever thought you might like to paint and there are no classes available in your area head to the nearest craft store and check out their books.
Painting is good for the soul.

you should check out Laurie's new line. It is in Hobby Lobby right now. I worked with her on it, actually. She's a really neat lady and very talented and innovative!
